The dust that has accumulated on my books is a warning that I havent picked one up in a while. I have been finishing a small book project, and not reading. To finish a project is to let go of something, it is difficult to finally see something off. I rarely finish projects like this; so I am un-practised at the art of release. I feel a lull after finishing. Where to next? Where do I go? Where do I look? So I re-visit the texts, images, books I have previously consumed. I revisit my archive and modest library, and gain a pulse of inspiration. I think of Gramsci, and of Julietta Singh’s ‘No Archive will Destroy You’. What comes into me, becomes me.
